I have created the Empowered Movement in-house intensive workshop based on my own personal experiences in the dance world. As a dancer, I know I needed to connect with my educators more, believe in myself more, and be more educated on how to care for my mental health just as much as my physical health. The goal for the workshop is to help dancers through their anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, body image, stress management, social media management, handling rejection, and other mental health challenges. The workshop is customized to each and every studio, dance team, university program, pre-professional or professional program.
Empowered Movement entails discussion, interactive exercises, interpersonal reflection exercises, team-work/building exercises and movement exercises to help participants understand and connect to the content. If appropriate for your program, the workshop includes segments for teachers/educators and parents/guardians.
